Swaziland

New Hope first began to explore opportunities to care for the physical and spiritual needs of orphans, their caregivers, and other struggling people in southern Africa in 2010. Since then we’ve collaborated with Adventures in Mission to mobilize over 40 people in our church family to construct homes, provide care, and equip local congregations in Swaziland, a country decimated by the AIDS crisis. We’ve adopted and supported Care Points in a number of communities, underwrite a salary and living expenses for the pastor of our sister congregations, and purchased tents, clothing, food, and many other necessities for our brothers and sisters there.  We continue to be actively involved in communities in and around Nsoko and are mobilizing teams for ongoing ministry there. We praise God for the opportunity to witness and participate in the amazing transformations in Swaziland!

Jess Kumar in Southeast Asia

Jessica Kumar (Mengel’s) family was instrumental in founding New Hope Church. After participating in a number of ministries throughout her high school and college years, she entered into short-term missions work, later heeding God’s call to serve full time and on an extended basis in Southeast Asia. You can find out more about Jessica’s work at the Welcome Center at New Hope Church!
